Hi! I'm Sabrina but my friends call me Sab.
Born in England and raised in South Lake Tahoe, traveling has always been not just an essential part of my life— but a monumental one. My love and appreciation for travel— for exploring and understanding different cultures & places— was instilled in me at a young age. Since childhood, I’ve wanted to center my life around travel and creating memorable experience.
At 16, I flew to Thailand, where I spent a month volunteering with other teens visiting small village towns and a refugee camp. The experience was life change— not only because I was exposed to a new culture and way of life, but because doing so gave me a sense of empowerment.
From that moment forward, I pledged to travel to at least one new place a year. 9 years later and I have now traveled to over 20 countries, witnessing some of the world's most gorgeous landscapes and interacting with people of many different cultures. From living & working in Barcelona, Spain, to a 5-country European summer expedition, or a month-long backpacking trip through Vietnam, I hope to see and do it all.
Not only do I love traveling, but I have always been passionate about capturing the world around me. Moments are ever so fleeting, yet we look back on them with such fondness. Over the years, I have become more and more keen on capturing my raw experiences with videography and photography. I have made some of my most cherished memories while traveling, many of which you see here.
Traveling is one of the greatest forms of education. Learning about other cultures, customs, and ourselves through the process changes the way we perceive reality and relate to others. I want nothing more than to help others gain similar experiences to the ones I have been so lucky to create— building community along the way.
The impact traveling has had on my life is so profound, I don’t believe I would be the person I am today without it. The travel bug got me, and ultimately became a great part of who I am today.
I am proud to say The Travel Bugs is a perfect culmination of my favorite things: creating community, traveling, exploring the world, and documenting the process. Thank you for being here. It means the world to me :)
My name is Venture, I was born and raised in the beautiful mountains of South Lake Tahoe. I have spent my life snowboarding, cliff jumping, and mountain biking, creating a profound love for adventure. My family's drive for exploration was evident as we went on frequent road trips, camping escapades, and hiking expeditions. These experiences then laid the foundation for my passion for travel and the great mother nature.
My international journey began with my first trip to Costa Rica when I was just 15. Since then, I've continued to bring back friends and family, creating a ripple effect of shared adventures and lifelong memories in an unbelievable country. My travels have now taken me across four continents—Africa, Asia, South, and North America. The defining moment in my travels was a two-month backpacking trip through Colombia with my family of 5, where my two siblings and I, all under 18, did online school while still exploring the diverse landscapes and vibrant streets of the country. It was during this crazy trip I caught the travel bug.
The profound cultural immersion I have since experienced through my travels has opened my eyes to the beauty of diversity and ignited my quest to understand and appreciate as many cultures as possible. From the ancient city of Machu Picchu to the bustling streets of India, my travels have become a continuous journey of education, amazement, and connection. Beyond exploring new landscapes, my goal in life is to learn about and witness the tapestry of various cultures, expanding my knowledge with each encounter. Join us on this exhilarating expedition as we embrace the world, one adventure at a time.
