Embark on a 12-Day Amazon Adventure with us!

Join us on a 12 day Amazon Adventure, boating deep into the Amazon Rainforest. We will camp alongside rich wildlife while having the opportunity to observe one of the worlds greatest rainforests! We will explore the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve where we will see some of the most eco diverse wonders on the planet. While journeying down the Marañón River, we will set up camp alongside the river, having opportunities engage with local communities and experience local culture firsthand. Throughout our time in the Amazon, we will learn about conservation projects and enjoy nights under the stars in some of the most remote camps. Each day is packed with something new and exciting-- whether that be spotting pink dolphins or piranha fishing-- creating an life changing Amazon journey.

ITINERARY

Day 1 - Arrival Day in Iquitos

Arrival day.
Transfer from airport to local hotel where you will have the chance to relax before we meet for dinner and get to know each other.

Day 2 - Arrival in Nauta and Journey to Pacaya Samiria Reserve

Hotel transfer to Nauta City.
Private boat trip along the Marañón River to the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.
Registration at Manco Capac community, then continue to Yanayacu-Pucate basin and Dorado lagoon.
Overnight camping at Dorado Lagoon and interaction with the Yacutaitas community.

Day 3 - Wildlife Exploration and Swimming with Dolphins

Early morning exploration to observe birds, gray, and pink dolphins.
Breakfast at camp and a boat ride through the flooded forest.
Fishing for piranhas and swimming with dolphins.
Final night at the first camp.

Day 4 - Ecotourism on the Yanayacu River and Night Safari

Split into two groups for eco-tourism activities along the Yanayacu River.
Lunch on board or ashore.
Night excursion to spot wild animals such as alligators.

Day 5 - Wildlife Spotting in Llachihua and Medicinal Plant Exploration

Travel to Llachihua for wildlife watching, including monkeys, sloths, and macaws.
Afternoon exploration of medicinal plants and jungle survival theory.

Day 6 - Primary Jungle Exploration in Soledad

Continued exploration of the primary jungle in the Soledad area.
Ecotourism activities and evening at camp.

Day 7 - Conservation Projects at Yarina Community

Travel to Yarina community to participate in natural resource conservation projects.
Learn about the management of aguaje palm trees, river turtles, and more.
Play soccer with community members and enjoy a traditional dinner.

Day 8 - Forest Adventures at Renacal

Ecotourism activities at Renacal, including day and night walks in the primary forest.
Lunch and dinner at the camp.

Day 9 - Medicinal Plant Conservation at Fundo Itaca

Visit the Fundo Itaca medicinal plant conservation project.
Explore the Casual non-flood forest.
Stay overnight at Itaca Farm.

Day 10 - Cultural Immersion in Comunidad Grau

Visit the vibrant town of Grau to learn about local culture and traditions.
Swim in the source of the Amazon River and farewell dinner with local musicians.

Day 11 - Return to Iquitos

Breakfast, followed by transfer to San Joaquin de Omagua.
Bus ride back to Iquitos and transfer to your hotel.

Day 12 - Departure day from Iquitos

After breakfast, we will wrap up the trip and say our goodbyes. Before heading to the airport, we will reflect on our life changing journey exploring the Amazon Rainforest together.
