- Seek to learn and understand about the local culture through engaging in positive interactions.
2. Responsible Behavior
- Behave responsibly and be aware of the impact of your actions on the local community and environment.
3. Responsible Alcohol and Substance Use
- Avoid engaging in activities or behaviors that may be considered disrespectful.
- Please follow the country of destination rules and regulations in regards to alcohol. If consuming alcohol, consume responsibly and in moderation.
- Avoid illegal substances or activities that jeopardize your safety and well-being.
4. Group Dynamics
- Foster a positive and inclusive group environment by being supportive and considerate of others.
- Communicate openly and respectfully with other travelers, and guides.
- Respect boundaries of others both physically and emotionally.
5. Safety/ Health and Well Being
- Prioritize your safety and the safety of others at all times.
- Follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by group leaders and local authorities.
6. Accountability
- Take responsibility for yourself and your personal belongings including important travel documentation at all times.
- Please report any issues or concerns ASAP to The Travel Bug guides or local authorities when necessary.
7. Emergency Preparedness
- Prepare emergency contact information in case of an emergency
